ISFP ⭒ True Neutral ⭒ 9w1

Hello everyone! As you've probably already read on the homepage, my name is Molly, but if you'd rather call me Gal, short for Galissia, that's cool too! the image to the left is mostly a placeholder for now. smiles.

I am a 20-something year old adult, I'm from New Jersey, I have a BFA in Film & Television studies, and my pronouns are she/her/hers.

I've known basic HTML since 2016-ish but I only started teaching myself how to keep a website in 2021/2022. I'm not perfect and I definitely don't follow standard practice half the time but hey! I'm havin' fun here leave me alone!!!

Why a Website?

What a great question! My honest reaction is to say that it just seemed like fun. And it is! But my actual thought-out, intellectual-sounding response is this:

Social media has become very limiting nowadays and with all the restrictions and being put in place, and AI tools being implemented on these sites, it's getting very hard to comfortably share all you truly want to. With your own website you can quite literally post anything you want, and design said content in any way that you want. The sky's the limit! (Or rather, the limits of your HTML are)

A website, for me, is a safe personal space online where I am able to share all the things I'm passionate about in a place where I don't have to worry about judgement from mainstream social media. No cringe culture here! The site sort of acts as a "digital diary" and I love to see how my coding evolves alongside me as a person.

I think the saying "I am cringe but I am free" is a very important thing to remember in this day and age, especially if you are a regular resident of the internet. I'm trying to free myself from the fear of seeming "cringe" that shackled me and my interests in years long past, and this website is one of the ways I'm doing that!
