OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!! FRANKENSTEIN WAS SO GOOOODDDD !! GDT did an absolutely fantastic job with his adaptation and while he did change a number of things near the beginning of the story, all the changes actually worked really well!!

The cinematography and color grading was stunning too, and Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi's performances were fantastic. This genuinely might be a new favorite movie for me.

I've been working on schoolwork a lot for the past moth or so and haven't really had time to work on the website (sad). they weren't joking when they said SCAD stands for Sleep Comes After Death. yeesh.

Next week is the Film Fest, though! For those that don't know, SCAD holds an annual Film Festival, and it's usually a big deal! This year they have a LOT of big names visiting, like Will Arnet, Oscar Isaac, Spike Lee, and freakin' Mark Hamill.

Honestly, the only thing I wanted to see this year was Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein, which is going to be shown at the festival. Unfortunately for me (and many others), quite literally everything sold out the day the tickets launched and I was unable to get a ticket to the showing. Which sucks. What sucks less is that I really only wanted to watch the movie in a theater setting and didn't really care much about the panel with Oscar Isaac beforehand, and luckily I managed to find a theater about 45 minutes away that is showing it before the film fest is, so crisis averted >:) That's this coming Sunday, and I'm super excited!

Also, I'm working on writing my first essay for my soon-to-be-uploaded articles page. It'll be an analysis (of some sort) of the story of Jekyll and Hyde, and what people get wrong about it. stay tuned for that soon, I'm hoping to upload it before Halloween.

I'm moved back in to my Savannah apartment for senior year! I am SO nervous about clases this year, especially since the degree track seems tailored for directors and producers, which is absolutely NOT what I want to do... I'm sure it will be fine though lol

i've been trying to design a layout for my film/professional portfolio website. I've been wanting to make a new one from scratch since my current site was made using Wix for a class my freshman year and does not look.... polished at all. unfortunately, ive hit a roadblock. like. my creative well is completely dry. I can not come up with a design at all (◞‸ ◟)💧 Ideally, I would want to make it from scratch by myself rather than use a site building service, but i think i might have to use one for the time being, especially considering i'll need to apply for internships and jobs pretty soon.
