WELCOME TO MY FOREVER WORLD PAGE!

I saw this idea on Aid's website and thought "oh yes i HAVE to do this" so here I am.

This page will be where I document all things related to this world -- screenshots, future projects, resources (like build tutorials), etc...

It also serves as my (temporary) Minecraft shrine! I intend to make a page fully dedicated to ALL my worlds, especially childhood ones that I still have the files for, in the future, but for now this is what I've got!

What is a forever world?


A forever world in Minecraft is the concept of starting a world in Minecraft single-player, and playing that for the rest of your life.

…​your forever world, each time you play, is molded into a reflection of your mind. Each time you build anything, try to leave it there. Don’t destroy it, instead if you want to change something, mold it into something else. […​] your incremental progress will show up over the many years in which you’re playing your world. x

I was first introduced to the concept through this video by niko back when he first uploaded it. I thought the concept was fun, but it took me almost two years to actually start mine!!

Thoughts

Minecraft, as a game, has always been very close to my heart -- I've been playing since 2012!

It was a major way to bond with my friends and classmates as a kid. Over the years, I've created countless worlds, but none I would consistently return to and could really call a "forever world."

I have a tendency to get bored of my worlds easily, but I hope to keep this one running as long as I can!

Mods used

I started with the Fabulously Optimized modpack as a base and then added a ton of other mods I wanted to use. You can download my modpack from the sidebar, if you're interested. Just import it into your launcher of choice!

( I use CurseForge, and I recommend you do too to ensure the best compatibility! )

Ground Rules

General guidelines I will try to adhere to while playing my forever world.

  • Creative is ok for big builds, but only if I've found those materials before in survival.
  • I won't use the teleport feature on JourneyMap
    • I'll only use waypoints, which will be locations I've already visited.
  • Keep Inventory is on. idc if its "cheating" this is meant to be fun ♡
  • I will try to keep commands/cheats used to a minimum. Ideally, I won't use them at all.

STARTED MY FOREVER WORLD!! thats a little bit of a lie actually since I started one last december, technically. but i really hated it and i kinda lowkey broke my own rules right from the start so i decided to remake the modpack and try again. it's for real this time.

sailed down the river for a little bit and found a pre-generated villager hut on a little island, and I liked it, so I settled down next to him. I'll build my little sanctuary here for now :)
